Rotating QR Codes That Evolve Through Every Stage

One printed QR code automatically rotates through Before, Live, and After stages based on a schedule you define. Print it once, and it handles your entire campaign or service lifecycle without a single reprint.

How rotating QR codes work

A rotating QR code appears identical to any other QR code when printed. The rotation logic lives entirely on QRLooper servers. When someone scans the code, their device sends a request to QRLooper, which checks the current time against your schedule and redirects the scanner to the appropriate destination for the active stage.

From the scanner's perspective, the code simply takes them to the right page. From your perspective, you have a single printed code that serves different purposes across the full lifecycle of your event, campaign, or service period.

The rotation is based entirely on time. You set the start and end time for each stage, and QRLooper handles all transitions automatically. You can override the active stage manually at any point from your dashboard if circumstances change.

The three rotation stages

Before

Build anticipation. Show a teaser, countdown, early access signup, or waitlist registration. This stage is active before your main moment begins.

Live

Serve the core content. Show your event schedule, live menu, product launch page, or real-time information. This stage is active during the main event.

After

Stay engaged after the moment passes. Show a recap, recording, review request, or next-steps call to action. This stage keeps printed materials useful long-term.

Each stage has its own destination URL and time window. QRLooper rotates through them automatically. You can adjust at any time from your dashboard.

Why rotating is better than updating

Manual updating requires someone to remember to make a change at a specific time. That person may be unavailable, forget, or be occupied with more pressing tasks exactly when the update is needed most.

Rotating QR codes eliminate human dependency from the transition. You make one decision upfront by configuring the schedule, and that decision holds through the entire campaign without any further action required.

For multi-location businesses or large events with many printed materials, the benefit compounds. Rotating means every printed code, across every location or piece of collateral, switches simultaneously with no coordination required.
